Hi,
Iam upgrading sql server 2000 to 2005 using in-place upgrade. We have a remote server ABC in
Enterprise manage->security->Remote server . I verified the properties of remote server, RPC was selected nothing else is there.
So after upgrading to 2005 what I have do with that remote server?

Hi,
I am not certain that you need to do anything however, I do beleive that SQL Server 2005 handles linked servers differently to SQL Server 2000.
What I would suggest is that you "script out" the details of the current linked server, in order to backup the details, so that in the event that there are any issues after the upgrade, you can tweak the script to create the Linked Server.
Cheers,
