Hi all,
Happy New Year!!!
I'm getting the below error message in SQL Server Management Studio, when I right click on any table in all the databases in that server.
'The directory name is invalid. (mscorlib)'.
I'm able to open the table from the SQL server client, it gives me this error only on the server.
Please give your thoughts to resolve this problem.

Do you mean running SSMS from the server?
Does it do it with all tables? In all databases? What about connecting to another instance?

Yes, I get the same error with all the tables in all the databases on that server..
But it works fine when I open the table from my pc using SQL server client. I'm getting this error only on that server.
Thanks

this link has similar issue reported and suggests restarting the server resolved the issue. can u try that out?

I'd do the restart first. If that didn't work, I'd uninstall and reinstall SSMS.

I've asked our admin to look into the issue and he is going to reboot the server if necessary..
Thanks for your replies..
