    Hi

    What can be the best strategy for transferring data from a normalized OLTP to a de-normalized warehouse database if wanted to do through SSIS?

    Providing you are following Kimball's guidelines therefore your Data Warehouse is nothing but a collection of star-schema Datamarts I would say the standard ETL should works pretty much this way for each source dataset.

    1- Truncate appropriate staging tables

    2- Load raw data - filtered by some date column that fits you from your OLTP source into staging tables.

    3- Massage your staging data as needed

    4- Load staging into fact and dim, report failures

    5- Be happy.
