Changing models tables

    Do I need to restart sql server when I change from simple to full or from full to simple databases? When I change the model is it stiopping users from working?Thank you

    I take it you are asking about Recovery Model? Not changing tables in the models database...

    Recovery Model can be changed on the fly with no downtime.

    Just in case it was a two parts question... no, altering MODEL tables wouldn't stop your user from working.
