I want to know what exactly are the responsibilities taken by the DBA's and
want to know what all things does a DBA do every day in general?

Hi I was working as a Network Admin and got promoted to a DBA role(newly created position) as few months ago. I found Brad McGhee's DBA Best Practices guide a big help in understanding my new role. It will help you understand what the role of the DBA is and identify things you should be looking for and doing daily.
