SQL connection time out after 600 seconds

  • The default setting on our SQL Server is 600 for query timeouts under server properties connections allow remote connectoins query timeout. So i increased this to 1200.

    Anything else i can do because i can see the processes running and the select statements - and getting this through the eapplication [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.;

    I am thinking it reached 10 minutes.

    Is there an indefinite setting?

  • that message indicates that your network requests are not being responded to by the server. Either it's down, port is blocked (either way) or you are connecting on the wrong port.

    It's not a timeout.
