    Hi, Getting the below error for one of my application in SQL 2005:

    Enlist operation failed: 0x8004d00e(XACT_E_NOTRANSACTION). SQL Server could not register with Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) as a resource manager for this transaction. The transaction may have been stopped by the client or the resource manager.

    Please let me know if anyone has come across this issue and know how to fix.

    I believe Win 2003 SP2 turns off DTC Network Access (thanks, Microsoft). Your windows administrator needs to re-enable it in Add Remove Programs/Add Remove Windows Components/Application Server - check the "Enable DTC Network Access".

    There is also some DTC config you may need to go through...wrote it up on my site as I have dealt with this a million times. http://www.sqlwebpedia.com/content/msdtc-troubleshooting
