how do you delete a database snapshot file?

    we dropped a snapshot, but the file is still there. tried to delete it, but windows says it's locked for use. anyway to delete it?

    Did you try to look and see if it is being help by the OS. If on Windows OS you can go to the MMC and look at the Sessions and Open files. If it is being held you should also be able to remove the lock of the file from there.
