SQL 2000 database to 2005 upgradation problem

    Dear Friends,

           I have a problem while upgrading sql 2000 database to sql 2005. Most of my errors are related to network path not found. And when i googled i did not found any results. Plz help me at the earliest.

    Are you doing inplace upgrade?

    where is your installation files on the local server or in the network... if you are upgrading using network path, copy the installation files locally and then try..

     if u r performing inplace upgrade pls refer the link http://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/ssamuel/2987.asp.mite be useful.

    start running the upgrade advisor and identify the problems.

    Did you ever get the issue resolved with "the network path was not found" when trying to upgrade form SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005?

    I am also having a similar problem when running the upgrade advisor. See below:

    We have been running on a client over a VPN tunnel. We are going to load on a machine in our DataCenter and run to see if this stops the issue.

    Please let me know if anyone has experienced.

    Hi Lynn

    If i am right, u are using a VPN tunnel to link to datacentre, check the VPN tunnel, is there any restriction of data flow, first do a basic test wether the netwrok is accessible and it is on ur domain,
