Hi,
I need some help interpreting the results of DBCC SQLPERF(USMSTATS). I have a job that runs this command all the time while a NetApp snapshot takes place. When the snapshot is taking place, the num_runnable for one of the schedulers hits a massive 8, but the other 3 schedulers at zero. As I understand it, it should num_runnable should be 2 max. What does it all mean? Big question, I know, but I'm not finding much on the net.
If I may give some background as to why I'm asking: NetApp want me to increase the MAX WORKER THREAD above 255 (which I don't want to) as their SAN backup S/W is failing 10% of the time. I'm trying to capture the number of worker threads when the snapshots run.
Thanks in advance.
Andy
