I have a cluster running SQL 2005 Std SP1 all is fine, except I cannot view the errorlof from within the Management Studio.
I get: Failed to retrieve data for this request (microsoft.sqlserver.smoenum)
If I go to the logs on disk they are there and I can view them, I can run sp_cycle_errorlog this works fine.
I would appreciate any help with this, thanks

Are the logs located on a clustered resource disk or on a local disk?

You said that you are able to see the file on the disk and it works once you recycle SQL error logs.
What is the size of log file on the disk?
Can you provide exact error message (by copying and pasting from the message box) does it show some dll name??
