I have Query Analyzer sessions on several servers, and I was trying to change the icon associated with QA to indicate the server-- so I would have something more helpful than 6 of the same icon in the taskbar. I did change the icon for Start - Program - Properties -- but that doesn't change the icon in the program's title bar or in the task bar. Now I can't find the magnifying glass icon as an .ico file -- can't find it on any of the servers-- so I can't put Start - Programs back to the default. Help?!

The icon which shows up in the taskbar is set in the application itself. As to how to get Start | Programs back to the original icon, go into properties and choose to change the icon again. Point it back at the Query Analyzer executable (isqlw.exe) as the file to look at for icons. Default path is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\isqlw.exe
You should then see the original icon as a choice you can select.
