Attaching 64 bit databases to 32 bit.

    Question

    I have a SQL 2000 database running on the 64 bit version. If I detach the data files and attach them to a SQL2000 server running the 32 bit version will I encounter any problems?

    I believe that you shouldn't have any problem attaching the 64-bit database to a 32-bit server.

    You can also take a backup of a database ona  64 bit server and restore it onto a 32 bit machine.
