Locking and Blocking Issues with SQL Server SP4

     Hi,

    I have an application that is developed in .NET and using SQL Server as backend , it was working fine till I updated my SQL Server to SP4, Now when on multiple updates that are run one after the other on my system, number of locks are generated and the processes are getting blocked. Are there any known issues of this kind with SP4 Service Pack.

    Yes, there is an issue with SP4.  Go to the "Service Pack" forum, and chaeck out

    It has a link to another forum with an extensive discussion of the problem.  It seems as though it is not a widespread problem, affecting mainly very large databases & queries
