  Hi All,

  I have set up a new insatance of SS2000 ENT ED (SP4)on a WIN2K Adv Server SP4.

  I user has been created and Admin rights have been granted to this user. The BuiltinAdmin account has been removed from SQL Server and all services have been set to start with this new account. SQL Server its self starts up no problem, how ever the agent wont.

  I get the following error message

  "Could not start the SQLAgent$SANDPIT service on Local Computer.The service did not return an error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal service error. If the problem presists, contact your system administrator."

   

  Any ideas?

  Boy do I need a STRONG cup of coffee....I forgot to creat the startup acount as a domain account.

   

  DUH !!!  

   

  Problem has been resolved.
