The download button should be at the top right.

Try this for the BSC tool

This one requires individual file downloads, see the bottom of the page.

I just tested both and there doesn't appear to be a uid/pwd requirement.  If you are getting the uid/pwd prompt again, you may want to check your firewall/proxy/cache settings to see if your org is blocking msi's or the like.

  • Hi Steve:

Have you had any experience yet using these two new products?

I downloaded the Excel addin this morning and am beginning to test it.

If you or someone you know has been using these two "solution accelerators" I'd be interesting in hearing about the experiences.

    Thanks,

    Pete

  • Although most of my testing in the beta's was focused on the Excel OLAP accelerator, I've not put it into production anywhere yet.

Lately I've been looking at the Business Scorecard accel and will be putting it into production prior to the end of Sept.  So far I've not had too many complaints, although one thing I can't understand is that you map a datasource (ie a cube) to the scorecard not the individual KPI's.  This is fine as you can create/use virtual cubes to get your kpi's all in the one cube, but I would have liked to have seen the kpi's mapped to cubes, and then combined in the scorecard.  I guess they'll (MSFT) be making a new release when SQL2005 comes out, as the kpi's in yukon are held/created within the cubes themselves.

Another thing that can get annoying is the refresh of the webparts (or lack thereof). Last week I was basically forced to remove a kpi from a scorecard and re-add it before the webparts reflected the change/s I'd made to the kpi itself.

Lastly, it would be nice if you could map to something other than a cube, like if they defined the interfaces required of a web service that would allow it to be the input for a kpi, or maybe even just accept an xml file as input.

    Steve.
