Quick basic Q for the pros, Multidimentional and Tab on the same instance?

    Hello,

    Quick Q, I'm new to analysis services but very interested in it. If I want to install SQL2014 SSAS Multidimensional and Tabular, do I have to install then on separate instances? I'm guessing they cannot both be on the same instance. I don't need any complication workaround to make that happen, I can easily install two instances if need be.

    To have both engine modes running on a single server, yes, you need to install/have two instances of SSAS installed.
