Paging File\% Usage and Memory\Pages per Sec

  Hi all,

  I'm wondering what the ideal average value for the above counters should be. I've read quite a few different articles on this but I just can't figure this out.

  I would also like to know why paging occurs if there is no memory pressure (20% is available of the physical RAM) and how this affects performance.

  My Memory\pages\sec counter average is 600 (there's a period during 24hrs where it averages 4-5000) and the Page file\ % usage is 7%. Is it acceptable?
