Security groups not working in Analysis Services (2008)

  Greetings all!

  So I have a Windows Domain Security Group (yes it is in active directory and all that jazz). When I add it to a role (the role functions as well, I have tested that independently) it does not allow members of that security group to access the cube data.

  I have read quite a lot of literature online regarding setting up security groups in SSAS cubes, and much of it seems pretty straightforward and simple. However, I must be missing something somewhere :).

  Is there something specific I can check to see why this is not allowing users to connect?

  By default SSAS roles are not granted cube access. You must explicity grant privileges to that role you created. Have you done that yet?
