Hi,
I am planning to appear for Exam 70-448 Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence development and maintenece shortly, I do not have much experience on SSRS and SSAS, should I appear for this exam or not? Will I be able to pass the exam without much of relevant experience and by just reading books and tutorials of the same, with some basic practice?
Thanks!

Hey,
Can you please let me know the materials you referred to? Also do you have dumps for the same?

Dumps are cheating. They are actual questions taken from the real exams in violation of the NDA that all exam candidates must accept.
Using or distributing braindumps can result in your certifications being revoked and even a being blacklisted permanently from writing certification exams again.

I searched for materials and got the same dumps details for $109/$145. So there is no meaning of buying these Q&A for more than the cost of exam and preparing it. Thats the reason I asked for the dumps from the people who wrote the exam before.

It's still cheating whether you buy them or ask for them, can still result in your certifications being revoked. Use of braindumps is forbidden by the rules of the exams.

Just wondering, as there is no book for the 2008 BI design exam, I wonder if the 2005 version (Exam 70-446) might be good enough to use instead? Im sure that some parts may be outdated, but if I used the book with 2008, I'd imagine I'd work out what was outdated by the errors I'd get, or just not finding things in the same place as they are in the book? Surely the principles are the same.
Thoughts?

D.

Are you referring to the 70-448 exam or the 70-452 exam?
There is a book for the first one (see Gail's reply), but not for the second one.
But a book for the 2005 exam will probably be a good start. Most of the concepts will indeed be the same, and you can use the 70-448 book to investigate the technical differences between the two versions.
The Microsoft official learning path (http://learning.microsoft.com/manager/LearningPlanV2.aspx?resourceId=%7bbf093b9a-dfd8-419b-a8c7-d462342f2199%7d&clang=en-US&cats=%7bd4e8e42c-3d5a-4a6e-915d-d99556a49bd7%7d) has also references to 2005 material.
You can also compae the "Skills Measured" section of the 2005 and the 2008 exam to check for differences...

Try the book MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-448): Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance
I've got about 2 years under my belt with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and feel pretty comfortable using all three for work on a daily basis. In preparation for the 70-448, I picked this book up and quickly realized that I was not prepared for the exam.
As a BI Developer at a large company, these are not really pieces that I touch on daily basis...
- command line tools (Ex. DTEXEC, DTUTIL)
- config files (Ex. RSReportServer.config)
- DMVs
So after spending the last couple of weeks working through the material, practice tests, and saving 15% on the exam fee (included with the kit), I'm feeling pretty good about my upcoming exam (on 6/4).
