  More than half of the required exams for the MCDBA (which is a SQL 2000 cert) have been discontinued. You cannot get that cert any longer.

  If you're after a 2005 or 2008 cert, they're the MCTS and MCITP. See http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-sql-server.aspx
