They're both in Maricopa County, Az. I recently passed 70-432 so I am MCTS in Admin Track and am currently studying for 70-450, I do admin and report development at my current job amongst host of other things they ask me to do. Got about little over a yr in real SQL administrative and BI work, but I consider myself to be good in what I do.
I am interested in above two positions. Do the two positions seem a bit above the reach of a recent MCTS? Since the closing date is continuous, I do not think they are in a hurry to hire so I might have the time to wait until I get my MCITP to apply. What do you think?
(I know about getting a local government job. Getting the job is the difficult part. Once you get in and pass the probationary, it's not that difficult and when it gets technically difficult, you can get the vendors to help you out.)

I just had a glance at the first one. The job description sounds like asking for a complete dev team including the backbone DBA staff. Not to forget the customer support being included as well as the hardware support.
Unlikely there are many people being qualified to meet all requirements...
Based on those requirements there are a lot more questions than answers. The main question is: what are the major tasks they're looking for?
All I can say is: give it a try, tell them what you know and what you don't know and try to figure out what they're really looking for.

Consider the following:

Go for it!
