In SQL 2000, we had a good graphical option called "Log shipping monitor" inside Enterprise Manager. This was making it easier to track and troubleshoot the current status of the log shipping for individual databases.
But in SQL 2005, this seems to have gone out without a replacement. Is there any other alternative for this, than generating reports?

in sql 2005 go to log shipping monitor server
click on server
on right hand side see reports
scroll down
transaction log shipping status
u can see the status

yes, I could see that I am able to view that report not only in the monitor server, but also in the primary and secondary servers in the log shipping configuration. Infact a monitor server is not even needed to view this report!
