  • Hi to all

    1.Need a redimade script or a batch file in front end without login into the ssms[sql server management studio]which suggests sqlserver instance up or down even if any error occurs it has to intimate

    2.also has to see log shipping synchronization working properly or not

    for any one to check when DBA is not in duty for managing initially for non-SQL DBA if any error occurs he can inform to the DBA immediately by using that script or a batch file in front end like a tool or a any browser it has to run.

  • There are a lot of moving parts within your request, and it will involve more than just a single script or technology. It sounds like you would be better off with an off-the-shelf monitoring tool. They can continually check the SQL Server service and if it is down, or not responding in a timely manner, they will email or send a text message to someone. MOst tools out there can be extended with custom scripting, e.g. to check specific things having to do with Log Shipping, if they do not already have built-in monitoring options. By the way, Log Shipping has a built-in monitoring system which you could look into implementing.
