I want to setup a subscription in sql server 2008 r2 standard edition database to do the following:
1. run an ssrs 2008 r2 report to run at a schedule time every day.
2. write the output of the ssrs 2008 r2 report to a specified file directory location.
I know the standard edition has more limitations than the enterprise edition has of the sql server database. However, I am hoping you can tell me what I can accomplish my goals using the standard edition of the sql server 2008 r2 database.

Did not understand the question correctly?
1) Are you asking for the steps to setup subscription to write the report to a folder?
2) Are you saying Std Ed does not have this feature and looking for some workaround?
Have you tried creating this subscription and could not find this option?
Do you have privileges to create subscriptions?

I think you will have more luck finding answers on either the SQL 2008 forum or Reporting Services forum.
I don't think that SSIS can do this but interested to see solutions offered and maybe learn a few things.
