  Hi Frens,

  I have a question regarding Database Engine Tuning Advisor, what are the minimum permissions required to use Database Engine Tuning Advisor on SQL SERVER 2005/2008 Environment? In our shop, Developers are requesting this tool to find out proper indexes for their queries but my manager doesn’t want to give Full DB_Owner permissions to Developer. Because their database is resides on Consolidated Environment. So is there any way to give them DTA without assigning DB_OWNER Fixed Database Role?

  DTA requires atleast DBO privileges on the part of the user.
