Unable to Load Client Print Control on Windows 7 64-bit

  • We have applied SQL 2005 SP3 and I have deployed a new Windows 7 64-bit computer and I am now getting this message on this computer.

I have seen all the messages regarding ActiveX and such, but now that I'm on the latest services packs on both SQL 2005 and Windows 7, what could possibly be the problem now?

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks,

    Michael

  • I am also facing the same problem but with XP sp3. and sql server 2005 reporting services , What could be the problem ?

  • Workaround is to instruct users to use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer to run RS reports. Both 32bit and 64bit version of IE are installed by default on a 64bit Windows computer.

  • Pardon me for saying this but that is unacceptable. I wish they would give us a good fix and/or deploy it with a windows update.

It is really embarrassing to go into a demo and have the reporting fail on the boss's computer.
