I am facing error' Un expected Error ...;during the Installation of SQL 2005 Standar edition on my learning box(P-III.512 RAM, Win-xp sp3) in installation progress..
pls help me !

Please post the summary.txt file that Pradeep asked for. In fact, if you open up the summary.txt file it should tell you the specific component the install failed on and the log file containing the exact errors the installer got. If you could post that file as well, then troubleshooting your error would be a lot easier.

Please Help Me Actualy My Box is PIII 800 MHz, and Only 384MB(256+128)of RAM, Win XP Sp3, I am sure one month ago(Before Reinstallation of OS) I was installed on this Box only and The SQL 2005 Same edition which I am tring now(Stander) was installed, after warning of minimum h/w neede.
I am aataching summary.txt and other for refference Pls help me.
You can see the installed component in Installed_software.bmp file

Hi All
May We Need Windows Installer 3.0 or Heigher Or Its Inbult with WinXp SP-3, Actually Installer 3.0 is not available in Ad-Remove Software window, But I don't remember Befor reinstallation of Winxp sp3 it was there or not. Is it forcelly needed to Install SQL 2005, But you may see in attached Installed_software.bmp 'Microsoft SQL server 2005' and many other tools are installed but, SSMS is not available. and setup also not completed.

Please look into the SQLSetupNumber_ServerName_Core(local).log file. Most likely this error has something to do with the folder layout. Please refer this article.
