We are looking to upgrade our Windows Server 2003, SQL 2005 clusters to SQL 2005 Service Pack 4.
But I would like to know if SP4 can be UNinstalled, in case it causes any problems. For a back-out plan.
Also, is there a proper technique for installing on a Cluster? Do you run SP4 on the Active node or the Passive node? We have one Active/Active cluster -- should we move all resources to one node first? Is this documented anywhere?
Thank you very much!

Thank you for the link, but that article only addresses installing a Service Pack for Windows itself, not for SQL.

you cant uninstall a SQL 2005 service pack. To remove an SP you need to uninstall SQL, re-install, restore the database backups and server configurations.
