Run Excel Macros from SSIS

    Hi

    Does any one know how to execute an Excel Macro from SSIS. I have been reading about it but there seem to be a lot of people who have experienced issues doing this.

    Can some one please give some references or pointers on how to do this...

    I tired using Activex Taks and am getting an error message... "Package Validation Error. Error at Activex Script Task:Function Not found.

    You do realize that this thread is very old??

    In an effort to be helpful,can you tell me first why you want to try to use an Excel macro in a tool like SSIS?? What are you trying to accomplish that the toolbox does not provide?

    You may be able to modify your macro code in a script task or script component, as they use a subset of VB.

    Hi all

    I tried to do this and research about it but got no where.

    anyways what i did was use the SQL Query and Excel to achieve what was needed.
