Other than government offices and banks, who gets Presidents' Day off? Not me...

While it is a US holiday, it does not mean a day off from work for most of us.

Hmm, I have a number of friends in non-gov't business who get today as a holiday. Surprised that it isn't the case for most of you in the US.

My prior employer worked on the NYSE schedule, and they have the day off. (The only thing I really miss about that job was the huge number of days off.) Other than that job, I haven't had Presidents Day off since school.

Working here too...the commute into work was pretty light so I would guess a lot of people had the day off as well. However, I live in an area that has a ton of state workers...

And I am yet another one of the many in the work queue today.

I think those hills behind Steve are in Vancouver. Which means he is really a stealth member of the U.S. Olympic ski team.
THAT'S why he took the day "off". Yeah, right, Steve... we are onto you now.

Ha! I enjoy snowboarding, but I am nowhere near brave enough to try some of the things those people do. I'm still healing from trying to fly at Breckenridge in Jan.
