Hi.
I have been studying for the 70-443 exam for the past 7 months and ready to write it next month but whilst browsing Micosoft's site this morning I see the SQL 2008 exams are only going to be valid to take till July 2013 :crying: my question is will it still be worth it to do the SQL 2008 exams, my plan was after passing 70-433 to do 70-448 and the administration...

The 2008 exams are only writable until that date, they don't expire if you've written it.

I don't know why you wouldn't if you've put that much time and effort into it, SQL Server 2008 is going to be around for a very long time yet (I still see lots of SQL 2000 instances and the odd SQL 7 instance) so having the certification is not going to hurt your marketability, also for the MCSE track having an MCITP reduces the amount of exams you need to take to gain the next set of certification.

Hello,
Sorry if I am highjacking the thread slightly, but I'm in a similar situation, however I am going to go ahead and take the exam regardless, what I am wondering is, with the 2012 exams, so I have to do them in a certain order or can I just go ahead and take the 2012 datawarehouse exam as the first one?
I reckon it will be easier to study for if I have just done the 2008 BI exam.

p.

You can write the exams in any order you like, you will get the certs once you pass all required exams and hold any pre-req certs.
