Logshipping + IIS

    Dear All,

    Can someone advice on the below?please

    Is it mandatory to install IIS when installing SQLServer 2005?

    If it's not installed, will it effects the logshipping ?

    hi iis is not required for sql server database engine to work smoothly, but if at all you want reporting services to be run on the same server, then you need iis to be installed on the system.

    well log shipping does not require iis to be installed on your system.

    Then, we can configure logshilpping in SQLServer2005 without IIS and it will work fine..rite?

    yes,

    you can run logshipping without installing iis.
