  Dear Experts,

  I have 2 queries

  1) I am working on VLDB on which i have implemented Log shipping also. Now i am realizing the performance can be gain by having multiple file group, so i am thinking multiple file group but i am not sure whether it will affect the current running Log Shipping.

  2) On weekly basis data base archive into a new database so i think i need to merge the existing file group in single mdf file. and recreate partion policy.

  Am i going with right plan?

  does it affect log Shipping?

  Think this will be a change to the database and so get logged and sent to the destination.

  Better to restore a nackup taken after the change and re-establish log shipping.
