Hi,
We have a 2 node- Active/Passive cluster setup for SQL Server 2005 EE x64 SP3 on Windows 2003 Servers in Production and running fine for last week.
Because of some OS issue on passive node, we decided to build new passive node and attach to the existing passive node. The Windows Admin had build the new Passive node and joined to existing cluster.
Now, what we we need to do on passive node? Do I need to install SQL Server on Passive node? Please provide me your inputs
Thank you

on the active node go into add\remove programs. Select SQL Server 2005 and click the change button. Set up will launch, select the clustered instance you wish to install the node into and click next. Eventually the Maintain virtual server option will appear. Click the new passive node and add to the required nodes and proceed with setup. Which patch level is the active node currently at as there is an issue with 2005 SP2 installing to single nodes?

Ok, as far as I remember SP3 does not have the single node install issue that affects SP2!
