ie. log shipping errors. when 1 of my dr servers is taken down, 1000's of errors are generated. i basically only want to see 1 error of it's type. not 1000 of more or less exactly the same error telling me the restore is 5 mins late, 10 mins late ... blah.
i'm just writing an error log reader to alert me to stuff i REALLY want to know about & batching these errors so I only see the min & max log times.
not that this is overly troublesome but just wondering if i was re-inventing the wheel?
