hope this is the right place to post this question.
I am trying to follow a video, how to build a website.
File > New > Website
The website Choice does not exist on my machine !
what do i need?

If you are running VS2005 that installs with SQL Server 2005 it cannot be used to create a website which is a .NET application because it is BIDS(business intelligence studio) which can only be used to create BI solutions like SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.

In a training Video you could buy a book with VS2005 professional trial edition because VS2010 is coming out next month. If you want to develop web application then you can use VWD(visual web developer) 2008 which is the Express version for VS2008 for web development, all Express tools are free only registration required. Check the link below to download VWD 2008.

Thanks, I guess I don't need to waste time with 2005 anymore then.

Technically yes because VS2008 the full versions comes with a feature called targeting that you can use to develop application like VS2005.
