Reporting service - Virtual Directory

    Hi,

    I have installed the sql server express edition 2008 with service pack 1 and also configured the reporting services on the server. But Virtual directory and manager not created on the IIS after configuring the reporting service and configured options are in green colour.

    can anybody let me know the issues why its not creating the virtual directory on the IIS ?

    Machine : windows xp with latest service pack

    MS SQL Express edition with service pack 1 2008 version.

    SSRS no longer relies on IIS. It is my understanding that you must configure everything in the SSRS configuration tools and not use IIS.

    MS removed the dependency of SSRS on IIS , starting with SQL Server 2008.
