XP_SendMail - 2005

    Hi -

    I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on XP_sendmail in 2005. I will be upgrading from 2000 to 2005 and have a lot or procedures using xp_sendmail.

    I know that database mail is preferred and I would like to move to this when I have time. BUT since I am under a time crunch do I have to do anything or will xp_sendmail work in 2005.

    xp_sendmail will work with SQL Server 2005..but it will be removed from SQL 2008.. as the yr now is 2010, i would recommend you to change the code to utilize sp_send_dbmail...
