SQL Server Mirroring

  • Is it possible to setup the mirroring without joining the servers on a domain? If not, is it must for servers to be part of same domain?

  • Window authentication is better option and should be in the same domain; if not trusted domain should be there.

    However, if tursted domain is not there you can use certifactes as transport security. Refer following link for more detail:

    What do you mean by "joining the servers on a domain"? That part of your question doesn't make sense to me.
