Can someone please let me know my below concern:
Do we need to upgrade Service Pack of SQL Server Client tools also regulary?
Like I have a server having SQL Server 2000 Client tools installed and do i need to upgrade it to any service pack like SP3 or SP4.
Or without any upgradation can we be able to access remote servers having sql server 2000 installed (irrespective of service pack they contain)without any issue?
Quick response is appreciated!!!

First of all thanks for the respones.
If we are not upgrading the SP will it effect anything while connecitng to remote servers having higher version of SP?

No, Just you will not have all the features which are included in latest or new SP.
