  Dear all,

  Its very very urgent

  On staging server all the things working but when i tried log shipping on production.

  I got following error

  SQL Server Management Studio could not save the configuration of as a Secondary. (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio)

  The specified @server_name ('WIN-XXX') does not exist.

  but when i run @@servername and Select * from sysservers where server_id = 0

  both the server name are same.

  Please suggest its very urgent.

  Hi ,

  I find link http://www.bigresource.com/Tracker/Track-ms_sql-RHOaQHat/

  but when i went deep i found generally machine name & SQL Server Instance name are same.

  but in my case they are diffrent.

  so i added my machine name as a server and problem resolved.

  This problem with both machine primary and seconday.

  and thanks to god i didn't reinstall SQL Server.
