snapshot agent initially copies all the scripts and schema changes to a folder...does it restore on the subscriber? i tried to read couple articles but i didnt see anywhere mentioned like it would restore on the subscriber...any suggestion would be appreciated..

No - the snapshot agent is only responsible for create the various schema files and the data from the publishing database. It is not responsible for anything to do with a subscriber. This is the exclusive domain the the distribution agent.
A distribution agent is created when you create a subscription to the publication. It will read the files created by the snapshot agent and apply them to the subscriber database.

thanks...so...intially snapshot agent will create the files and whenever subscriber is set up distribution agent will read those files and apply them to the subscriber through "snapshot agent job"....but then there should be another job which would initially read the files and apply to subscriber?...

I think that when you create the subscription, you also create & schedule the pull or push of the snapshot. (I haven't used replication in a while)
