So, when is it anticipated somebody will achieve SSC Guru? Sometime in early 2038? (Just before the world stops working due the UNIX time bug...).

No idea there. I'm around 21k or so ,and I go 4k a year, so that's a ways away for me.

You're going to need the speed round multipliers and free point giveaways to get there 🙂

Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part...unless you're my manager...or a director and above...or a really loud-spoken end-user..All right - what was my emergency again?

Since the question of levels was brought up again today (http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1141466-32-2.aspx), I thought I would suggest some levels.
If you wanted to continue adding levels along the baseball track, you could start with a Hank Aaron level (Beating Babe or something like that?). 755 Home Runs was the MLB record for 33 years so I think that seems worthy. I guess you could also have a 61 level for Roger Maris or a 73 level for Barry Bonds if you want to do single season HR records. (Maris if you want to stick with classic players, in the same vein as Willie Mays or Babe Ruth) Granted you could also do a 762 level for Barry Bonds career HR record but that may cause some controversy considering the whole steroid thing. 2632 could be a level too for Cal Ripken Jr. with the MLB record for most consecutive games played. Plus that one would give SSC users a nice level change between 2000 and 3000 points. List of American baseball records here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseball_records%5B/url%5D
As other's have noted before, you could add levels for the best sports records from other sports as well and make it world records not just MLB records. Might give some users a nice distraction now and again, researching their level if they don't get the reference. It's all in good fun and just like on the show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", the points don't matter.

in the light of Mr or Ms 500. I have an offering..
How about 'Jordan or LeBron' for 23 points.. Well Michael Jordan and Lebron James had the same number jersey, though James switched now.

I did, but I posted it here: http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic424987-61-1.aspx?Update=1
My thought question: Have you ever been told that your query runs too fast?
My advice:
INDEXing a poor-performing query is like putting sugar on cat food. Yeah, it probably tastes better but are you sure you want to eat it?
The path of least resistance can be a slippery slope. Take care that fixing your fixes of fixes doesn't snowball and end up costing you more than fixing the root cause would have in the first place.

I see the folks at the top of the QOD (Gail, Steve etc) are listed as SSC Champions... but in their individual pages it's as you noted....
