Migration Assistant for Access

  • I'm using the Migration Assistant to convert an Access 97 database to SS2005 and all tables were migrated 100% except one table. That table has 11387 rows in Access yet only 11314 rows were migrated. How can I identify the 73 rows that were not migrated? I can't seem to find this row detail in any of the logs or reports.

  • You could open Access and create an ODBC link to the SQL 2005 table. You now have access to both tables in Access. Create a new query in Access using a left join from the Access table to the SQL table on the Primary Key. Then search for NULL values in the Primary Key fields of the SQL table.
