cant import a package gets login time out

    trying to import a package using iss in management studio tells me I have a login timeout . am new to the environment

    could use some advice

    What is the exact message thrown, if necessary screen print and attach..

    Where are the databases that the package uses, local, or remote. Ones locally, it could be trying to find the database on your machine but it is using so many resources to import that the SQL box can't respond or you aren't running your local copy.. Remote ones, could also happen this way..
