I am fairly new to the SSC web site and like so many, have become captivated by the point system that grants points as one answers questions or posts topics, etc. However, I am curious on what generates points. I tried to answer a 25 point humorous questions and got it wrong, so that obviously messed up my average, particularly since most points come in ones or twos. Is there anything on this site that describes the point system and what generates those points. Obviously the less competitive could care less about points, however, those with more of a competitive edge may want to dive into the "point pool" and begin to accumulate them.

Each post gets you 1 point. Correctly answering the QotD gets you points. Currently that's all.

If you have some suggestions for levels, I believe SSC is open to hear them.

We are open. I built the levels during baseball season, so that is why some of them are what they are.

we can have more levels after SSCChampion like SSGuru or SSCoach ( for 15000 + or 25000 + points)

Those are good suggestions. We are getting some people up there, so I ought to add more.

Since I'm closing in on SSChampion, it's definitely time to add more. I'd hate to hit the level cap for this game and have to spend my time faction grinding ... 😛
