Database Mail (Configuration)

    I am problem with Database Mail for sending messages to other domains. I obtain sucess on Database Mail to send mail for my accounts domains, example account@mydomain.com.br. But I am not obtain sucess for sending other accounts domains, example account@otherdomain.com.br. The doubt is understand because on the same machine obtain sucess for sending message to other domains using Outlook Express. The Exchange Administrators comments that in outlook express is necessary enable the option My server requires authentication for work. Exist on SQL Server other configurations for this?

  • You most likely need to 'relay' through your mail server. By default exchange does not allow this. Speak to your mail administrator.

  • Configuring Database Mail is very straight forward.

    You need to get the smtp server details from your administrator. Make sure no firewall issues exist and you should be ready 🙂
