Exam 70-441:Ch 3, L 2 Exercise 3: Create CLR UDTs

  • Hi Team,

I am running Practice for chapter 3, lesson 2

    Exercise 3: Create CLR UDTs

Somehow, when I install practice files from the disc - I am unable to register the project files and when trying to create an assembly receive an error file not found

    File names:

    CH03CS.dll

    CH03VB.dll

I cannot see them either myself.

Tried installing the disc both as user and administrator on Windows 7 and Windows HP

    Thank you

  • Who is the publisher of the book and material you are using? You may need to go to them with the issue.

  • thank you,

same stuff - it still says that the application is not registered.

I wonder if I need to do anything else rather than jsut install the files on my machine?

  • You may need to register them with the assembly registry tool (Regasm.exe)?

I think, only source code is provided with the CD. No DLLs.

You need to compile the source code. Then you will get the .DLL files.

    Hope this helps you.

  • Hi all,

    Thank you for help.

    Feedback:

Exam - passed - pls do the suggested practices especially if they cover something you do not do daily

    Issues with the practice code:

    1) Issue with visual studio 2005 - I have got templates missing, was fixed by installing trial version of Visual Studio 2010

    2) Indeed, building and deploying the code was a solution, but my c# days were 5 years ago so did take some time to actually figure it out:(

    Thank you all for help

  • Congratulation on passing the exam.

    Thanks for your feedback
