I have several Sql Jobs that are configured to send notifications via email and page upon failure. When a job fails, I get the email, but I don't get the page.
A quick check of the Database Mail Log reveals the following:
The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 1 (2010-03-22T10:46:20). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Unable to relay).

The pager email name is 8005551212@tmomail.net (this email address sends mail to my cell phone as an SMS text message. The pager on duty schedule is Monday - Sunday, 12:00:01 AM to 11:59:59pm each day.
What am I missing?

Can you send pages to the pager from your email client (Outlook)?

Quick note...I would take that email reference out of your post. Don't think you want alot of people emailing your phone all of the sudden 😀

In a word, yes.

I always ask this , but hesitated since other email is getting through, but check your anti-virus settings. Sometimes it blocks email mass mailing worms.

Thanks, Shawn. Nothing to worry about, though. It's a fake email address. 😀
(555 is a fictitious telephone number prefix.)

The only other thing I can add is that I have another SQL instance on another server. It sends notifications to my pager email when a job fails...

Are you using the same SMTP server in all cases?
Can you try using gmail\hotmail\yahoo as the smtp server?
